Challenges and Limitations of Sustainable Production Abstract

The intention is to show the possibilities and also the difficulties when industrial companies embark on sustainability programs and management systems. Sustainability is still a relatively new value in the general industrial practice. Hence, many sustainability measures may run counter to the existing strategic and management approaches within industry, in this case production and manufacturing industry and systems. This lecture tries to identify pathways and avenues for combatting such challenges.
